Halloween

Well, this was Audrey's first Halloween and I must admit, it was quite fun. We went to the zoo for "Zoo Boo" this past weekend and then on Halloween night, we had a lot of family and friends come over to eat and go trick-or-treating. It was fun to celebrate with everyone! Audrey was kind of somber the entire evening until the chocolate pudding that my dad fed her kicked in and suddenly she was out of control! She was like a steam roller making her way around the room with squeals of delight. The only problem was when the chocolate high ended... we crashed HARD. I haven't heard her cry like that in, well, I can't remember the last time. She has more of a whine than a cry most of the time so when she does cry, it's really sad and pathetic! To make matters worse, just when I had her on the brink of sleepy land, the doorbell rang! I had forgotten to turn the lights off before I went upstairs and suddenly our "sleepy land" was "wide awake land"! It was a fun evening, though. I like Halloween and seeing all the kids dressed up and excited. I can't wait for Audrey to get all excited about holidays!
