*Audrey has discovered a love of horses.* Every couple of weeks, we meet Brett at the park during his lunch break and recently found out that they give pony rides.
The only problem is that the helmet is too big.
You can also buy bags of horse food for $1. Audrey isn't brave enough to feed them yet but she loves watching them. 
*We celebrated Brett's birthday.* I would have taken a picture of the yummy chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake that I made him, but I couldn't stop eating it long enough to take a pic. I gave him an introductory flying lesson, hoping that he would hate it and quit talking about wanting to take flying lessons (that backfired), and Audrey made him this personalized plate.
*We went and saw Wicked.* Soooo good! LOVED it! 
and *Had a wonderful 4th of July.* We spent the day with Brett's family and then my sister, Natalie, and brother, Justin, joined us for some fun at the fireworks. 
Audrey would rather do somersaults than actually bounce in the moon bounce.
She also rode the little train...
and obviously loved it.
She is not a fan of fireworks and once they started, she was in my lap with my hand pressed against her ears. Just what I love doing in 90 degree heat! But at least this year, there was no crying involved, so I feel like we made progress.
The 4th of July is one of my most favorite holidays because it makes me to really think about how blessed we are to live in a country where we are free to be ourselves and makes me so incredibly grateful for those who have given their lives to secure that freedom. I hope you all had a wonderful 4th as well!

Where are the horses that you can ride and feed? Auston takes the kids to one of his patients stable and the kids love it!
