Big Cedar Lodge

Back in March, Brett and I decided that we better get away one last time before my due date got any closer. That turned out to be such a smart decision! We decided to check out this resort outside of Branson, Missouri called Big Cedar Lodge. It was so nice to get away and enjoy this beautiful resort.

After a day of outlet shopping, we decided to check out Dogwood Canyon, a nearby nature park. We took a bike ride around the property and saw some beautiful waterfalls.

After the bike ride, I needed to do something a little less strenuous, so we went on a guided tour through the rest of the property. Part of the tour includes getting to see wildlife, like the elk, up close and personal. This guy was a little too up close and personal for me so I was glad when the tram started moving again.

After our tram ride, we spent the rest of the afternoon fishing in the creek. Notice the difference between Brett and I. I am holding tightly onto the string and have the fish a good distance away from me.

Brett, on the other hand, had no problems with catch and release. Good thing because I enjoyed catching them but didn't want anything to do with releasing them!

I'm so glad that we were able to get away together one last time before the baby gets here. I think we both realized that if we didn't take advantage of a trip now, it wasn't going to happen again for a long time. Next time, we'll have to go when it's warmer (and I'm not pregnant) so we can take advantage of everything the resort had to offer.
